    Process is as follow ::
    Shippper makes booking with the CSA (Customer servise representative………….CSA (our company employe) enters booking in GSCC (Our system)…..Booking then comes to us i.e DCR team then they do analysys in 12 steps and if any one of the check is not correct then booking is rejected otherwise user aproves the booking…

    If your done with the charter you must know what your targets are and what your defect is.
    Looking at what you’ve said it’s now time to map out the process in more detail with a detailed proces map, whatever style you feel comfortable with.
    Then try a fishbone and or FMEA to work out where things could be going wrong.
    From both of these you should be able to work out what you need to measure to understand the process and what you think the causes of the problems are.
    Once you know that then all you need to do is measure the system.
    Or
    Skip all that and do a VSM, remove the waste and try a few lean techniques on it.
    Or
    Combination of the 2
    or
    Find a BB in your company or outside that can give you pointers.

    thanx a lot for ur help…..
    I am done with the define phase and found out the problem area..
    as i mentioned before….
    VSM – As the process is critical and each and every step is important and cannot skip any step of the process…but only thing can be done here is to make changes in work procedure here at out office and by making a web application which will extract the data from the system and will enable user to distribute work in proper manner & will eliminate duplicate work (many users working on the same booking) this will help team to increase their productivity.
    So i have decided to do a PFMEA before implementing this web application….that is on a later stage….
    for now in Measure & Analysys phase….i was thinking of doing a DEtailed process mapping (Measure)
    i need to find out the problem area and will collect data for Parato chart to focus on the most critical problem……once the problem area i fixed then i want to know what should i do next in measure phase??? and what should i do at analysys phase….what kind of data i should get….
