The overall entitlement of a process is 99.8 i.e 2.96 sigma. which means that I should get 2 failures every 1000 bacthes. However if I seperate out the key variables I see that for one of the variables I have an entitlement of 98.2 i.e 2 failures in 100. Can anyone clarify for me why If I get 2 failures in 100 from part of the process my overall entitlement is 99.6

Either your process is linear and the defective part/service doesn’t make it to the next process, the 98.2 entitlement is a FTY measurement and it is fixed before moving on, or the specs of the failure are below the overall spec and doesn’t register as an overall failure at the end of the process.0 -
