    Questions about creating a measureplan
    Hi all,

I´m working on a black-belt project for optimising the supplychain throughout a machining department. The result, a better delivery-performance. Is there someone with experience about such project and have maybe some information about supplychain vs six-sigma.

I finished my define phase and I´m developing the measureplan. Problem is that al main reasons out of my Ishikawa are hard to translate to a measureble input.

Maybe someone can give me some advise for:

    – Orderbehaviour Customer
    – Quality Issue
    – Bad planning
    – Supplier too late
    – Wrong package material

    Thank you!

What is your project Y? It’s current value? Its desired value?

The project Y is # of good deliveries. (ontime & right quantity)
At this moment we have a 85% delivery performance, target is 95%.

    Hi,

try to use VOC to CTP tool to convert your x’s to measurable

    Orderbehaviour Customer
    – Quality Issue
    – Bad planning
    – Supplier too late
    – Wrong package material

For eg: Supplier too late…..Check for how many samples delviered by supplier on time and off time….
Wrong package material…. Check how many packed and out of which worngly packed….

    Thanks,

When I´m measure samples then the outcome will be discete. My Y is already discrete would be nice to have some X´s who are continouos?

Outcome is not descrete but Proportion i.e. #Defective / Sample Size
If you fix the sample size (and let the sample size be large say a days production), and you take more than 30 such reading..the proportion can be treated as continuous.

Please share your Ishikawa diagram and P-Map (process map).
This will help me in giving you proper guidance on measure plan (Measure Phase)
