    Here are some real 3 variable DOE results for direct mail.  
    Envelope Data: Control 78 orders/!000 mailed:  Test 255 orders/ 1000 mailed
    List Data: Control 96/orders/1000 mailed: Test 237 orders/1000 mailed
    Copy Data: Control 165orders/1000 mailed: Test 168 orders/1000 mailed
    You do the statistics for significance level. Do not generalize from these categories.  Copy itself, offers and at least 11 other variables functioning simultaneously at a minimum, come closer to descovering  the real causes. That’s the everyday task. You must have an experienced direct marketing partner as a co-discoverer of advertising causes which create  the category causes, otherwise superficial results without predictive ability will be the outcome..
