Morning all,
A quick questions: I’m doing some linier regression to understand the relationship between individual X variables and my Y.
I’m doing the regression in Minitab and then again in Excel and am getting very different equations. The R-squared value is the same though.
What’s happening here?0October 29, 2009 at 11:43 am #186450

Yeah, everything is different. Excel is saying:
y = -0.0099x + 0.6148
with an r-squared of 0.0538
Minitab is talking about:
y = 13.58 – 5.404x
with a r-squared of 0.053
When I apply a polynomial the equations are still different although the r-squared stays relatively consistent.0October 29, 2009 at 12:44 pm #186454Lorax,
Send me the data offline and I will look at it.
