TierradentroParticipant@johnInclude @john in your post and this person will
be notified via email. How should I depict the process map that has some steps that are repeated without the entire process being repeated? I’ve never run into this problem before that I can remember. Two or three are being repeated then moving on to new steps. What advice can anyone give?

BrandonParticipant@BrandonInclude @Brandon in your post and this person will

It’s not unlike a rework loop that sends the action back through a portion of the process.
Hope this helps.0January 22, 2008 at 8:51 am #167547

RhinoNeilMember@RhinoNeilInclude @RhinoNeil in your post and this person will
be notified via email.Be careful, just because a process is repeated does not make each loop identical. Map the process showing the process in full and only when you can prove it is exactly a repeat (Gage R&R) show it in the process map as a loop
0January 24, 2008 at 12:57 pm #167656Map it exactly as it flows. Show loops in the process where they occur, but add as many branches as necessary to depict the variability in the process (i.e., repeated steps).
Why are you repeating so many steps? A value stream map might be helpful in understanding inefficiencies and non-value-added activities.0 -
