    Dear Users,

    I am new to the software Minitab. I want to use the Response Surface Method to create design matrix. Later on I entered the values of my response. Then I went to Analyze Response surface tab. I want to ask when do we click The Optimal Design? Or either should we select one by one Analyze Resp surface or Optimal Design both, after creating design matrix and input the Response values.

    Hello Shamoon,

    In Minitab, you can create a response surface design (Create Response Surface Design), add the response variable data to an additional column of the same worksheet, and then analyze the design (Analyze Response Surface Design). You do not have to use Select Optimal Design.

    You would potentially use Select Optimal Design to select, add, exchange, or evaluate runs from a candidate set of experimental runs, based upon one of two optimality criteria.
