Does anybody know if six sigma can work in retail? Home Depot has been talking about it for a while now only as an employee and not a member of management what changes can I expect to see. As I read through the different books I’m left with the impression that the employee is an important part. Almost a valued part of the equation for the success of this program.Any information on this would help.ThanksHome Depot Employee

I am aware of some discussion on this forum concerning the Retail sales industry.  I think that the important thing to remember is that the focus is on what is critical to the customer.  If you stay focused on that in defining your defects, you should have some great success.
Employee play a crucial role by filling the project teams as Subject Matter Experts.  Eventually, the organization will train Black Belts and Green Belts from within the ranks of the organization.
    I hope that this helps.
