I have a query on runout tolerance whether we could use MMC condition to calculate the so-called bonus tolerance for a shaft with a runout tolerance?
i.e. Shaft with diameter of 5.0715 ± 0.0035mm and runout tolerance of Ø0.01mm. Which should the correct diameter (max allowable), if considering a worst case senario? a. 5.075mm or b.5.085mm.
Thanks.0August 4, 2006 at 11:11 am #141393No you cannot figure MMC bonus tolerance with runout.
Runout tolerances are always a constant values limiting the variation that a surface revolving about an axis causes a test indicator vary.0 -
