I have we have ~18,000 bottles on hold.
    The defect is leaking bottles.
We started 100% inspection. After 500 bottles the defect rate is .0078%. Which is well within our target of .05%.

So, someone asks the question…The defect rate is very low– can we stop inspecting?

    Question:
What is a statistically relevant number of bottles to randomly inspect before we can say the products on hold are acceptable (assume we are still at a low defect rate).

You should refer to Sampling Plans / OC curves for attributes .

The sample size is a function of Pa ( probability of acceptance) , the lot fraction defective .
