Hi,
I just came across a formula to determine frequency while sampling
the formla is k = ( critical specification – process average ) / Sp
where Sp = process variability
now its a little bit complicated how we calculate Sp
Sp = sqrt ( S ^ 2 pcl – S^2t)
S^pcl = = MR bar / 1.128
but i am not able to understand what is S^2t.
Can some one explain me this formula. Its in the book six sigma and beyond vol 4 Chapter 7.
Help please
Regards
joe

Cheers
