What models of successful SixSigma implementation might I be able to review in a highly service oriented operation such as a hotel environment where the green and black belts are traditionally so far from the delivery exchanges? Furthermore, what aspects of the highly intesive black/greenbelt training for the MANAGERS address the necessary cultural/procedural/attitudinal changes of the front line deliverers for successful implementation in a union environment such as NYC?

    Professor Reid,

For a good reference supporting service organizations you might consider looking at “The Six Sigma Way”. This book was written by guys at GE Capital, a highly service intensive organization.

    Good luck,
