my USL and LSL for a process is 5 mins and 20 mins. I have about 100 data points and all the data points are within the spec limits, which means no defects. However when i run a pcap my z score is not 6. When i calculated the sigma score using the isixsigma calculator it says my sigma level is 6 but minitab pcap says it is 1.16. Please help

be notified via email.What numbers did you key into the Sigma Calculator to get a Z value of 6?
Did Minitab calculate a Z value of 1.16? I ask that because a “default” process capability analysis in Minitab doesn’t display the Z value. Also, if that’s the case, the probability of a defect is something like 12.3%…which doesn’t seem likely.
Basically, the information you provided in your post (spec limits and number of data points) isn’t enough to calculate process capability.0June 21, 2006 at 8:11 am #139382Bala,
