@Praful – You need to provide details about the problem you are having (be specific as possible). How do you think the problem can/should be solved? If you think you’re doing something wrong, why do you think that? The more details you provide, the more likely you are to get a response.

I don’t fully understand your data set. However, if you have data on the 14 “Tasks”, then you can create a Pareto.

Depending on how you structure your data collection plan, you have the opportunity to measure frequency of “complied” by task which will help you know where to focus your efforts. If you have different departments or teams, you can capture data which lets you see if you need to focus on a specific department or team.

Nothing is a substitute for being in the process. Working with your coach and champion, identify a hypothesis to test. Collect data in a way which allows you to segment the key factors. The two potential Pareto(s) may be sufficient, but I suggest using that as more of a model for creating your own data collection and analysis plan.

    Unit 5 11 60 56%
    Unit 6r 11 71 66%

Yes, you would sort your list by column 2 and then pareto column 2 and also try and use a graph to graph column 4 also on the same graph if not using a program such as Minitab.

    Hi Arun,

The level compliances of Unit 10 is less compared to Unit 1. So if the chart is correct. How do I move forward?
Can this be a six sigma project?

I’m sure they can if you define the actual problem. You need to be more explicit so the problem is understandable.

If you just want to reduce overtime tell people there’s no overtime and it’s done. If you actually want to reduce overtime but still process the same amount of work t=you need to define those parameters more clearly.

Do you have a Lean Qualification? If so your notes should help with Problem Definition.
