I am very interested in any case studies applying Six Sigma concepts to the Manufacturing Environmental Health & Safety arenas. I would greatly appreciate any information  that the membership could supply to me pertaining to this subject area. Thanks very much in advance and have a great day. Tony

A straightforward approach would be to identify the processes your department performs routinely, but which are not functioning as well as you’d like. That gives you the chance to practice the tools, and any improvements you make will help you build credibility.
If your overall organization has some maturity relative to six sigma, you might provide expert feedback on processes you see that aren’t working.

EH&S is such a big topic.  Can you be more specific about the charter or primary areas of focus of your EH&S function?

A related area to safety is workers’ compensation. I use the SS tools to help employers improve their workers’ compensation programs and reduce their cost.
