Is there any formula for doing it.

6 sigma formula = 6 *std deviation of a population data.
You need a sample of data to find its std dev.
    cheers

Actually, the question is quite general…
So, its a good start to begin with…

Oh yes — the illusive six sigma calculation and all that.  Heard about that have you?
Of course you know if we were to tell you, you would then have to be silenced forthright – and we wouldn’t want that now would we (it’s all very dreary and James Bond and all that, you know).
So I’m quite sorry to have to tell you we are unable to accommodate your request until you can demonstrate a Class 14 Security Rating and all that.
So be off with you before you get yourself into a ripe pickel.  Carry on.

    Hi,
Thanks to all.I checked the link which praveen had sent.
But I want to know the formula for calculating it.
Is 4 sigma =4*Std Deviation and so on….

There’s a link right on the side of the calculator that leads to:

Here now!  Stop this!  I have half a mind to call out the bobbies!  Heed this — you are fooling with forces you do not understand and you must stop before you muck up real trouble.  Dash it all man!  This is all very hush-hush — M5 — on the Q.T. and all that.
Now scurry off.  Be quick about it, and I’ll make a few calls to headquarters and try to straighten things out.
