    Hi,
I’m interested in doing the six sigma certification program ( Green Belt to start with ) .
I was reading about the certification program offered at “California Status University at east Bay , in California USA. ( CSU – Hayward ). The price for Green Belt with the course material etc ( ONLINE training ) is $1600
It will great if some one can share their experience on this training program at CSU , or suggest other training programs in california USA.

    Thanks,
    Rajesh

I would certainly try to be certification from a place called “California Status University”.  Just the name alone confers a good deal of credibility.  If the training for $1,600 also includes a project and full certification then you have a real deal so grab it.

If it is just the training that you are interested in, then I would say do the University of Villanova’s (http://www.villanovau.com) Green Belt program. This would cost you $1,980 but at least it is a credible program where their students have been reported to achieve upwards of 95% pass rates on the ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt exam.
Please note however that the program is online and doesn’t require a project, so you’ll have to find projects once you finish their certificate program.

    Hi,
    Thanks. Actually the University website
http://www.csuhayward.edu/indicates the following for Green Belt”Green Belt certification can be provided upon successful completion of the course. The course itself does not provide a project.Completion of the Black Belt course does not include certification, but should prepare you for certification through industry bodies, such as ASQ and IQF.”
