Hi,
We want to initiate and drive our vendor productivity and quality by using Six Sigma tools. Any suggestions and inputs would be highly appreciated. Looking mainly to develop the process roadmap.

CherukaraParticipant@DominicInclude @Dominic in your post and this person will
be notified via email. It is interesting to note how many could benefit from a storyboard six sigma deployment system which allows one to monitor the vendors. This could be part of a Vendor Development program.
I had the opportunity to work with 16 parts and component manufacturers for the automotive covering metal stamping, rubber, glass, plastic, electronics, electrical, paint, fabric and others. It was on APQP (similar to six sigma as it is another driver program like ss – the tools used are all the same!).
It is not a compilation of a few sheets of word, excel or ppt document as one may assume. It is not a spreadsheet like many are familiar with. All vendors are grouped in the same system. It is a whole system which enables one to look at the quality and productivity of the vendor at another location. Many tools are made available for the deployment of the vendors. Report generating functions were built in. Team work is enabled and more so the program administrator has assess to all the vendors and their initiatives at all times. It provides a dashboard view on the quality and productivity level.
I can share the idea of what was done and you can develop your program and system to meet your own requirements and situation.
Cheers ! Dominic0 -
