We had a project about waste disposal cost reduction.
However, we have not much saving, just about $ 15,000 / year.
If your company is biger, you may get more saving.

I am hesitant to suggest a particular contact, but I do know that Honeywell has implemented Six Sigma Safety.

One of our metrics on the strategic plan is health and safety. We use six sigma methodology to realize projects on health and safety.
u can consider Dupont Corp. also. they have probably one of the best health and safety program. I think they use the methodology.

I am a Black Belt and was involved with a project on safety at Dupont.  I was helping another Black Belt with the statistical analysis.
I am currently employed with another company and I am leading a safety project.
Follow the data and see what it is telling you.  Your Insurance company can provide you with valuable data.  Hopefully your company already collects some form of data.
E-mail me and we can set up a time to talk.

Dupont’s safety program was already greater than 6 Sigma they are the leaders in the industry.  They weren’t satisfied with that, their goal is zero injuries.

Further to the other advice you have received to date, I would recommend the following informative article, “Using Six Sigma in Safety Metrics” by Patricia O’Rourke, Manager, Safety & Industrial Hygiene, Motorola, Plantation, Florida. Very informative, complete with graphs and statistics.
    Regards,

    Ricky Sigma,
You responded to a 9 year old post so I am guessing you probably won’t hear from the guy. There was an article in iSixSigma Magazine a couple years ago about SS and safety. I have done some stuff around safety in mining and can hook you up with another guy that does a lot of safety work. if you want to take this off line I am at [email protected]

For crying out loud – have you ever heard of Google?  I did a search and it showed up as the 3rd item in the listing.  If you can’t figure out how to do this, I sure don’t want to be anywhere near wherever you are involved with safety.
Mike, I know you’re a good guy, but some of these folks don’t deserve the help.
