    Bikash, Good morning!It sounds like you are in a BPO, and that you focus primarily on internal processes (such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable).Six Sigma for your situation would work very much like it works in many other companies. BPOs are really not much different from other companies, and your processes (such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) are common to most companies.
    Start at the beginning: Define.
    Do you have a measurement system in your company for internal processes (like Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable). If so, are these processes meeting expectations? How do you know?For those that are not meeting expectations, identify those as possible Six Sigma Projects. Get a good sponsor — get him or her to identify which of the possible projects to focus on first — then get a good Charter together, do a SIPOC, etc.For examples, use the iSixSigma search engine in the upper right corner of this page (just below the banner ads) — when I put in “accounts payable”, for instance, I got a LOT of hits.

    There are a number of ways to do what you ask.
    The simplest and quickest is to write off your receivables and pay all your payables. Then they will both equal zero – however your business will not benefit very much.
    Otherwise you can apply DMAIC; write a Problem Statement, an Objective Statement, create a Business Case and proceed through the phases until you find solutions.
    That’s what SS is about. Proceed the same way with every problem you have. Quit asking “How do I solve this?”; apply SS an you will find a solution. If you don’t know SS, learn it!
