Does anyone know of any financial services companies (insurance, banking, health care) using Six Sigma? If so, in what areas and how / what data was used? Thanks.
MJM0March 29, 2001 at 5:00 am #66140Go look at the GE website. GE is the largest implementer in financial services (they are a financial service company by the way – not a manufacturer).
Also CapitalOne. I also know of three insurance companies using this that have not gone public with it. They are getting a quarter million per project.
I only have company propriatary information, GE is the best public source of information.

Thanks. It would seem to me that one of the struggles in financial services would be the availability of good data. In my experience, things are loosely measured if at all and the existence of data detailed and reliable enough for Six Sigma use is negligable. What would be some examples of processes where Six Sigam is applied in financial services in your experience? Thanks.
