Our business had a similar problem with streaming software. We performed a DMAIC project that anlalyzed the true root causes and narrowed the issue down to specific time and IP addresses. We were then able to perform assessments of individual systems to narrow down the problem further and find the root cause. We put a policy in place and also have the ability to prevent applications from being installed without an IT password. It helps significantly. I don’t remember the actual numbers since it was someone else that did the project. Hope it helps. B
