Is there anyone who has applied Six Sigma’s DMAIC methodology in their legal department?  Ours is an active litigation office for an insurance company.  Specifically, they represent our policy holders should any claim turn into a litigation.  I am specifically looking for specific process improvement projects that have been successfully implemented.
    Thanks, Cookie

    Cookie,
We had a Green Belt that did a project on reducing the time to receive a patent.  After the process map and some measurements, it was obvious that there was a lot of wasted time in the system.  He made some improvements and reduced the time by 40% if my memory is correct.

I would like to have more information, if possible, on this project (Reducing time to receivre a patent) or any other project related to this subject.

    Thanks
