Cat BarberParticipant@Cat-BarberInclude @Cat-Barber in your post and this person will
be notified via email.I know that this is predominantly a US based site but I was wondering if anyone can draw up a similar list for companies in the UK? I am also interested in hearing form anyone who has Black Belt or Master Black Belt experience as I am trying to set up a community of people in the UK. Thanks

There are a number of us in the UK who also post here – but we are usually only detectable by spelling and phraseology. For various reasons I prefer to remain relatively anonymous beyond revealing my country of origin, but if you post your mail ID, I’ll contact you.

Thank you for your response and I understand your apprehensions. My email is [email protected], my mail ID?, is that not US phraseology!?0September 4, 2002 at 4:36 pm #78616
BenjaminParticipant@CharlesInclude @Charles in your post and this person will
be notified via email.I notice that your mail id is a recruiting firm. Are you truly looking to network or are you looking for “friends” to place for a commission? I’m in the UK but not interested in being contacted by a recruiter (no offense intended).

Cat BarberParticipant@Cat-BarberInclude @Cat-Barber in your post and this person will
be notified via email.I do work for a recruitment firm, no offence taken, and I know it is difficult to believe but I am actually looking to send out a newsletter and start a Six Sigma community in the UK! Should it be that as a result of that people look to me to recruit for them or find them another positon then great, but the prime intention is to form a network of professionals. I was rather hoping that this would prove to be beneficial to all. The first newsletter is published at the end of next week and includes articles by people involved in Six Sigma in the UK and is intended to be the beginning of this initiatve. I do understand your sceptism!

Cat BarberParticipant@Cat-BarberInclude @Cat-Barber in your post and this person will

0September 5, 2002 at 11:17 am #78643There are a growing number of recruitment agencies in the UK who see Six Sigma as a great way to make money (lots of money). All maintain list of people (real and potential candidates) and many are involved in sideline activities to increase these lists by any means.
Even if you personally have good intent, your contact list will actually belong to your employer,
BIONIC HIGHWAY LIMITED
DRAX EXECUTIVEDRAX GENERATIONOPEN RESOURCING PARTNERS
which will have only slight hesitation in using (or abusing this information). My personal details have, in the past, been kept on file for over four years and sent to companies without my consent.
My sceptism is almost boundless.0September 5, 2002 at 11:25 am #78644
Cat BarberParticipant@Cat-BarberInclude @Cat-Barber in your post and this person will
be notified via email. In light of a couple of sceptical responses I believe that this maybe was not a good idea. Please believe me if I wanted to be sneaky I would do this from a hotmail account. I was aiming to be professional and ask for advice about how to initiate this forum. The details are not put onto the database here. I think that this should be the end of this query as this is not in the spirit of the forum.
0September 6, 2002 at 3:56 am #78681Why don’t you make a suggestion to isixsigma? They appear to be the lone arbiter within the quality industry who has the customer’s main interest in mind. Perhaps they can create “community areas” where geographically located groups can communicate and meet for mutual benefit? My thought has not been fully developed, but I’m sure others might be able to add to this brainstorm session :).
