    Hi All,

i am a six sigma trained person. i got my training at the age of 30, currently i am 37. I have worked on small projects, and all the organizations i worked all these years are not six sigma cultured organizations. i am looking for a mentor who can help me run theproject, and tips to successfully complete the projects and grow up in life. I am getting very good opportunities to work for bigger organization with good packages but im not confident to join them because i dont know where i stand in six sigma knowledge. i need motivation

I think that a trained person is a good thing, but he is unlikely to give you enough motivation to continue to improve. You can only find sources of motivation within yourself.

You recognized the importance of a mentor in your journey is a great start. as you said currently working on projects, what you have to do is go to your senior executives in the organization ask for a specific mentor-ship. Most of the time they will say Ok. But make sure that the seniors are atleast lean six sigma green belt certification holders or higher experience. in my point of view, very few senior managers are experts in the process… good luck!

I believe that a prepared individual is something worth being thankful for, however he is probably not going to give you enough inspiration to keep on improving.

In my experience motivation is over-rated.  Just get on with doing something and if it goes well the motivation will take care of itself.  Better to be resilient in the face of set backs than to be motivated.

Set yourself a plan with some time based milestones and get on with it.
