Well I hope everyone is looking at Japan for the light that is six-sigma.
Now known as “six shooter” for when you shoot yourself, your product, your customer loyalty, and your customer service in the foot.
I have never seen a Six Shooter project improve customer service, improve customer loyalty or for that matter improve the quality and reliability of a product. It is always about cheaper is better! (Always)
After years of corporate greed take all your color belts and hang yourself.

Now, I’ll be the first to say that there are (too) many implementations (and implementers/consultants) who go for cutting costs at the expense of the other customer facing attributes – but I’d never go so far as to say that ALL are that way. For example, I’ve been on a deployment with a major player in the food industry and they are keenly sensitive to customer observable attributes. Yet, we’ve still helped them reduce millions of unnecessary costs in under a year, with more to come.
You need to take a break from your current assignment and get some fresh perspective.0 -
