    So we monitor  daily yields as one of management methods where I work. When yields, or the trend, drops or begins to drop ‘beyond normal’ a recovery plan or an explanation  is required …much the same as we would do with out-of-control points in SPC data on key characteristics. Since the SPC application is so easy to use, it was thought why not put our daily yield data (percent by day) into SPC for each part number and operation, chart the yields from each part and operation and use the application to keep track of our trends and actions taken. Do you see any issues with this?

    I do not mean to be rude but that kind of question is so broad that I wonder how you can expect anyone to answer it. It’s hard to know what you are talking about.
