We all know that for calculating a statistically valid sample (discrete data) the formula – (Z/Delta)^2*p(1-p) is used. The worst case scenario being 50% defective and the minimum sample required would be 384. And this sample size holds good for a population of 7200 at 95% confidence and 5% precision.

What happens after 7200 in this scenario?

I don’t know about 7200, but at N> 7680 you don’t have to correct for small populations.

… your confidence level in the 5% goes down.
