    Stevo wants to branch out.

Many of you have grown to tolerate “Stevo’s question of the day” and “Stevo’s random thoughts” and those columns will still periodically appear.  However because I’m a giver, I want to do more.  So I decided to start another column.

Because I’m a man of many talents (7) I can not decide where I can do the most good, so I’ve decided to let the forum help me out.

    The choices are:

Dear Stevo – Where I assist lost souls in non technical situations.  (e.g. “How do I get the experts to answer my homework questions?” or “What’s a good subject to do my thesis paper on?”)
Stevo’s did you know – I will relay totally worthless bits of trivia.  (I know this will compete with some of our other regulars, but mine will not be sad)
Stevo-damus – I will predict the future with great accuracy (answering questions such as “Is six sigma a fad?” and “Which 3rd world prison will Carnell do hard time in?” and “Is there love in the air for Stan and Karen?”
Make me feel better – Just when you think your job sucks, I will explain some of my own experiences.  Guaranteed to show that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

I’ll be counting your replies, hopefully it won’t be over 20 or I will have a few uncomfortable co-workers.

Computers might make your life easier – it all depends on the temperment of the one you have.  Ours is a real piece of work.  When you ask him to do something like multiply two 10 digit numbers together he will start to mumble and roll his eyes and then sort of stand up and pull his shirt out of his pants and over his head and then he will spin around the room like a top and finally sit down, let his shirt fall back around his torso, stare off into space for a minute or two and then give you the answer.  It’s not too bad if you only have to ask him for one or two calculations but if you have a lot of number crunching to do his antics can make for a really long day.

Stevo, a match making service would definitely be a value added activity.  Imagine finding a playmate for Karen or finding anybody that would put up with Stan.  Challenging but fulfilling.

Stevo, I think you really need to quit filling the airways when we have such pertinent questions from GKP, Brijesh and Samyu…..
Like “explain six sigma”, “explain variation” etc. These are insightful, mind-stretching questions that merit serious consideration and thorough responses, such as –

    GET LOST!!
PS: I’m seeing a correlation among the source of this questions. Anybody else notice that?

While some of those questions were silly, let’s not draw conclusions about the source.  We get some great answers from the same source.

    Stevo,
I vote for “Stevo’s, Didja know?”.
    -or-
How about, “Dateline with Stevo-ne Phillips, “The case of Steve, Karen, Amy and Bev: An analysis in getting OWNED on da forum…”?

Darth, the biggest problem with those guys is they did not ask
questions where the answer was opensource or eBooks.

The last post shown as posted by Brandon was not made by me – it was done by my harasser.
Seems he has nothing better to do.

I have an suggestion here what about creating unique user name and ids for people and ask them few questions so that only serious people are invited into this community? or maybe something like orkut where people needs to be invited to get into the mad world( oh i mean orkut and not isixsigma).. if this probably happens then two things will be resolved
    1) No simple, googlable, stupid, easy whatever questions are not posted
    2) Everyone has unique user name so that nobody needs to go around and say thats not me,thats not me etc( respects to brandon)
Pst: hmm whats the source u guys are referring to? Does it start with I? If yes i belong to the same world..
    Regards
