be notified via email.I just read a book titled “Succeeding with Agile Governance, The Agile PMO.” I’ve Worked mostly with manufacturing and process/policy projects, I would like to find someone who has done IT/IS projects and ask some questions regarding definitions of LEAN terminology. Things seem to differ a little bit.

0March 7, 2014 at 12:00 pm #196747And the nutshell version is…there are few true differences between the agile skillset and the lean innovation tool kits…this coming from an MBB, PMP, Jonah, and Scrum Master….so you know, I got that going for me.

be notified via email.Agile originated when several people realized that software development could be improved by applying lean principles. And then the agile methods they developed could be more generally applied to project management. And then to continuous improvement in general. So a lot of the terminology differences are artifacts from playing the “telephone” game. For instance, agilists say “velocity” while others might say “productivity” or “thruput”. We’re all talking about the same thing – continuous improvement and reducing waste.
