    Manivannan,
You can do a simple DOE with coated and uncoated aspirin and use time to dissolve as your response variable. You can trow in stirred and unstirred, warm and cold water and you have a simple 3 factor 2 level DOE.
You can also do it with Lego’s and a ramp. Vary the ramp angle, weight the car, change the car size. You can also run EVOP with this and it can have a fairly dramatic effect particularly in relation to ramp angle. Distance from the bottom of the ramp is the response variable.
There have been a couple threads on this and there were some good ideas that came out. Try a search.
    Have fun. Good luck.

Thank you,I think DOE is the most complicated tool in Six Sigma, you read always complicated example  & case studies, even in many books (I have read) ,the authors try to avoid such tool, could you guide  me ,please to any reference where this tool is explained  and demonstrated in simple “understabdable”example, thanks  7 best regards.                        MN

    MN,
If your Six Sigma training did  not explain DOE clearly, you got gipped.
There are some very simple ways of making this tool clear. Leave an email address and I will give you a 6 page PDF file that makes it clear.

I have used gas mileage (miles since last oil change, air filter change, new tires as the factors) as a simple example, but it takes some time to gather the data. (also confirmed the need to be scrupulous about changing oil every 3000 miles, at least in my car).
I am developing an example using calories expended on a  excercise bicycle at the local YMCA. I use the minutes duration of the excercise program, the level of intensity, and the program selected as the factors, but I just started, so it will take at least a month to gather the data
    Good luck

I recently ran into a mjor problem doing the aspirin experiment. I used bayer coatedaspirin which to my dismay has been designed.
The coating is so resilient that after over thirty minutes of stirring the Bayer still had not dissolved.
Be careful with this axperiemnt as you may ruin the whole thing if the coated aspirin you choose reacts like the Bayer.

A better experiemnt is one performed by constructing a paper helicopter.

Send me your email and i’ll send you a file on how to perform it.

You can download the helicopter DOE experiment documentation from iSixSigma thanks to Shree Padnis. Visit this post:https://www.isixsigma.com/forum/showmessage.asp?messageID=10296–Carol
