Hi Folks. I work in a distribution company (non-LEAN and non-Six Sigma) and have been asked by a customer to address the following question – “How can you, the supplier, help us in our LEAN and Six Sigma Journey?” Any suggestions/input? I should add that I have my Green Belt and am currently enrolled in a Black Belt course so I have an idea how to reply, but I’m looking for ideas that I can incorporate in our response.
Thanks,

We regularly engaged the suppliers in these types of efforts at Bank of America. They all were non-SS shops as well, but it was a great opportunity for the supplier to gain insight into their customer’s CTQs. And we pushed for improvements on their side.0 -
