    We wanted to identify number of test cases using Taguchi orthogonal array.  The number of factors we have identified is 48 and it is mixed level design.  From Minitab we have option only for 26 factors for mixed level design.  Can any one help me in identifying no. of runs required

    In this case, careful requirements study is required and choose parameters based on functionality. Also choose options (levels) which are very important to parameters.
    If the above solution does not work use Divide and conquer technique.

    From the qualitek-4 help text:
    L-4, L-8, L-9, L-12, L-16, L-18 … L-32 and L-64 arrays, 2, 3 and  4 level factors,  2 to 63 factors, Std. and S/N analysis using BIGGER, SMALLER or NOMINAL quality characteristics.
    Design most common Taguchi Experiments· Carry out Analysis (main effect, ANOVA, Optimum, etc.)· Plot graphs of factor influence, contributions etc.· Prepare presentation quality reports in matter of minutes· Let you calculate Loss/Savings based of the expected improvement

     A demo is available for free.  It supports all experiments, but only allows you to save L8  arrays.
    This is very easy software to use. It does much of the work for you and lets you concentrate on the experiment. Having learned DOE with this and then attempting to use others, I can attest to the amazing ability of this program.
    The book ‘Design of Experiments using the Taguchi Approach’ by Ranjit K Roy os both an introduction Taguchi DOE and documentation for the software.

    There is a product called rdExpert by Phadke Associates, Inc. which can handle large mixed designs.

    Please, send me about orthogonal array for dof = 60 or more, bechause i make design experiment with 7 factorials and 3 levels
