I’ve just been reading up on the Tata Nano – the inexpensive, tighly designed new car that Tata’s going to launch in India. I know that Tata has a Six Sigma program, but does anyone know if DFSS played a part in this innovative product? Seems like all the PR hints at it, but since the general public wouldn’t really care, no one explicitly says what methods went into the design. A Web search shows nothing. Thanks!

MBBinWIParticipant@MBBinWIInclude @MBBinWI in your post and this person will
be notified via email.Tata has links to so many companies via their technical outsourcing, vendor and JV relationships, that it wouldn’t surprise me any if they were DfSS. Hyundai is and they are the only automotive company that Toyota fears. Now maybe they will also fear Tata.
