We collect cycle time data in an automated on-line system, but the reports don’t give us all of the inputs to filter the data and perform an accurate MSA without some manual manipulation. I’m looking for suggestions on how to perform an MSA with the following:
    5 people
Each receives a communication (date/time stamp) to perform an operation
Person reviews online submission (in database) and performs operation (date/time stamp)
Performing the operation is dependent on 2 inputs to the database
Database report provides transaction detail on person, submission date/time, operation date/time and cycle time (operation – submission)

There is no other data recorded in another database to compare the cycle time to for validation.

We could have another person pull the report and compare the data, but it would be only comparing the data pulled from the same source at a different time.

Suggestions on performing an MSA here???

@jandjnelson For starters MSA doesn’t necessarily mean GR&R. MSA means verifying the accuracy of the data. In this case physical observation vs the automated data would be the route. That and examining the data to see if it’s rational – i.e. no times less than what’s possible, no times beyond the realm of possibility. You should also examine the distribution, it should be skewed right but be relatively smooth (no big breaks in the data).

We did view the data for rationality. Physical observation could be done and compare against the automated system for verification.

    Thanks for your help!
