For my thesis I have to develop a concept for a middle-sized industry in order to synchronize the manufacturing department (it manufactures particles needed for the end product) with the department that produces the final product. I was told I had to do a value stream analysis and I was wondering if there is a good fieldbook on market that would help me with this task.thank you

You may want to try Learning to See, a great book, very easy to follow and to understand. It can be purchased from lean.org bookstore.
    I hope it helps.

I think that process simulation may be the best next activity to do. The process simulation will help to identify bottleneck in proposed process.
