I have an MS-Excel file which consolidated
1.Almost all basic SS tools definitions
2.What the tools do
3.When to use tools
4.Why to use the tools
5.Clasification of Discrete/Continuous Data
and
6.Minitab Tips…
Mail me at [email protected] if you want to have it.
I am also sending it to [email protected] so that it can be globally distributed if required.
Cheers
Netra
[Editor’s Note: Below is the download that Netra submitted. It’s a terrific tool — get it now! Many thanks to Netra for the contribution to the iSixSigma community.}

Johan0January 28, 2002 at 12:50 pm #71599Do you know who the author is? If so, have they given permission to have this distributed. I’d like to use this with my Black Belts but don’t want to violate copyrights.

Robert AllottaMember@Robert-AllottaInclude @Robert-Allotta in your post and this person will
be notified via email.Any updated information on the original author? I am curious because on the Tool To Use tab, it contains hyperlinks that are not reachable and I was curious as to what you would see if they actually were reachable.
Thanks,
Robert0June 4, 2002 at 3:48 pm #76099If you look at the properties for the file that Netra shared with us, it shows that this very useful spreadsheet was written by Ryan Chapin at GE Aircraft Engines.
Thanks again, Netra!

I tried to email you after I checked out the file but the outlook hangs up on me. I enjoyed the information contained within the file and I find this tool to be SIMPLY AMAZING. CONGRATS TO THE AUTHOR FOR THE TIME AND EFFORT AND TO NETRA FOR POSTING TO THE SITE.
THANKS.
PB0August 6, 2004 at 7:00 pm #105176Just a general note to all posters, this spreadsheet has been on this site for over 2 yrs. It really pays off to search the forum on a regular basis for missed gems like this.
Maybe isixsigma could create a library of spreadsheets and uploads for easier searching??0August 7, 2004 at 1:48 am #105203
