What to Have the Menu Say When Weather Emergency

Hi, I am new to callcenter operations.
I am revising our menu- occassionally we have to delay opening an hr or so due to severe weather. Currently in this situation our menu states “we are currently experiencing an unplanned event, please leave a message”.
What do most companies do- I feel there should be a message that plays about the reason for delay as unplanned event is too generic.
