You’ve taken the correct first step… look around this site for a wealth of information.

i briefly looked around at the site.  I didn’t see a link that said something like “Click here to begin Six Sigma training.”
I am currently enrolled in the Defense Acquistion University taking courses in Program Mgt, Logistics, Contracting, …  These courses mention Six Sigma numerous times through their teachings and want to get started right a away.

Patrick, if you need something as simplistic as “Click here to begin Six Sigma training.” then perhaps you should pursue another endeavor.
SS is a rather complex topic that will require a great deal of initiative on your part to be successful.

You are rather rude. What kind of company do you represent?

Patrick, I was responding to your input that you didn’t want to do any investigation at all; you wanted a link to “Here’s what I want.” It’s not that easy.
Look to the left, see “New to Six Sigma?” That may be a good place to start.

Since you are with the DOD, try contacting this person, he is a master black belt with DOD and they have established classes going on.

Thanks for the tip.  I will call him after completing my current on line course.  I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew.

    Patrick,
Not sure whether you’ve located Six Sigma training as of date, but I would recommend Villanova University’s Six Sigma on-line programs available through University Alliance.  I began their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification back in June and have been very pleased with the information and lectures received to date. Villanova is highly recommended and there are many DOD type personnel who are enrolled in this on-line program. You can access their website at http://www.villanovau.com/ and then click on Six Sigma to learn about all the various courses and certification programs that are offered.  This program is taught by many Six Sigma leaders around the country and is recognized by ASQ (American Society for Quality) as a leader in Six Sigma education and preparation for any of the Six Sigma Certifications offered through ASQ in addition to what is offered at Villanova.  Good luck in your quest, if you have any additional questions feel free to e-mail them.
