You may want to search the iSixSigma Discussion Forum archives – this question has been asked and answered many times: http://search.isixsigma.com/b/q?sn=158097990&keys=certification&rel=5&sa=Search
iSixSigma has also published a number of articles about certification. They can be found at this link: https://www.isixsigma.com/training/certification-articles/.

As Katie pointed out, certification is a tricky issue that many people have argued over and continue to discuss.
Given your two options above, you should take note of the type of organization each one is: ASQ is a non-profit international member association, and Aveta is a private business. Potential employers may find one more preferable to the other. You should also be aware that many universities offer certification, if academic credentials are an important consideration to you.
Good luck!

Any employer will want to know of specific projects where you applied tools and will want to know what kind of results you achieved.
