I am a Professor of Quality Management and also a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt at the University of Strathclyde. According to my research, a number of hospitals have started the Lean and Six Sigma journeys. In particular, I am involved with two Six Sigma projects in two different hospitals looking at improving the patient throughput and reducing waiting times. I am also aware of thea pplication of Six Sigma in two Police Forces in the UK. I am also helping two councils to kick off Six Sigma projects within two local councils. So as you can see there is a big movement already taking place on Six Sigma in the Public Sector.
Hope this helps.
Jiju
