GB replied to the topic Please Help with My Doubts Regarding Six Sigma Consultancy in the forum General 10 years, 10 months ago
MBBinWI definitely has the chops to comment. He’s right. The market is glutted with craptastic Consultants. You should get into something else, preferably something you actually have a knowledge base in. Be warned: you will get eaten alive. Sixsigma/CI Clients are in relatively rarified air and word will get around. How do you…[Read more]

I agree w/ the OP. I’d like to see a return to the tree format, or at least to be be given the choice. Also, this new format is cumbersome, clunky and very slow.
INavigation is just shy of excruciating.

Rick,
I’ve noticed that as well. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you call it, as long as you are using tools and methodologies to make bottom-line improvements.
I don’t even call it 6S, or L6S, or whatever. I call it continuous improvement, or just doing “it” the right way.No need to get parochial or religious about what…[Read more]

Perhaps you should use “CDAI” instead, given your unwarranted response to BB.

Jason,
1st off, I’m so sorry that you and your dept lost your jobs…It is
unimaginable…In your case, I would go ahead and pursue through a 3rd party
Vendor, by then go seek out a local town, city, or county gov’t and
offer to help them with a project in exchange for experience. I’d
take it one step further and approach a local…[Read more] -

Freddy,
My shop, like many other large corps, has had a fairly solid amount of 10-20 mill projects. When dealing w/ the Gov’t, high-dollar progress payments come into play. projects focused on meeting those milestones are numerous. Your statement concerning people being asleep is close, but the RCA indicates an entrenched, protectionist…[Read more] -

Darth,
It is simplistic, but it doesn’t mean it’s unobtaneable. You know this, working for a giganto like I do…The waste is epic and the culture doesn’t neccesarily tie waste/bureaucracy with their profit margin, nor do some defenders of the status quo want to change. They thrive in the margins and shadowy recesses. It’s so stupid…so…[Read more] -

I consider the awarding of belts below Green as redundant and non value-added.As Stan stated, Please just go fix something. You want to spread the knowledge and change the culture? Reward positive behaviors with cash-money.
Reward by promoting those who make bottom-line changes using the skills, tools, etc…Now, more than ever, put up $$$ behind…[Read more] -
