What is the difference between Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma?

They are spelled entirely different.

Lean – removing waste from processes
Six Sigma – reducing VariationKaizen – (kai – meeting of the, zen – minds) – basically a limited
set of Lean tools and commonly a “rapid” change event – i.e a week
long event where 90 % of the solution is implemented.
Before getting to Kaizen – you need to consider “kaikaku” which is
“initial radical change: which focusses on the same change as
Kaizen but focusses on a significant level of pre-planning, event
and post event communication on cultural shift. It is this cultural
shift that makes continuous improvement successful long term.Adam
