Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)

The analytic hierarchy process (AHP), developed by mathematician Thomas Saaty in the 1970s, is a method for assessing and prioritizing options. Widely used for complex, multi-criteria decision-making, AHP guides the practitioner through a list of paired options. With each option, the following question is asked: Is Option 1 more important than Option 2? If yes, by how much?
