Would you like to test if your idea is really good or silly?.There is only simple way.stick it on this forum and see the response.YOu’ll find all kinds of responses. Then, decided it to yourself.

Masa – Innovation is the last step in any improvement program. Initial low hanging fruits can be reaped thru process control and process improvement (reducing variation, shifting mean in the favourable direction).
Or in six sigma jargon DFSS (innovation) is done after you have exhausted your options with DMAIC (process control and improvement).
If you start talking about DFSS prior to DMAIC it would not make much sense in any case to lesser mortals.

Masa – everything has its time and place. If enviorment is not right for DMAIC then do not rollout DFSS in any case (people would ridicule).
If I had been in your place I would have done some retrospection as to why the earlier initiative failed. Was it lack of involvement from leadership or was the training and facilitation inadeuqte.
In most cases it fails due to inadequate support coming from topshots (lack of teeth). I would suggest that in that case give it another try but this time on a scaled-down version (only with the functions / deptts that are at least receptive to it if not die-hard supporters). Pick-up relatively easier projects – Demonstrate results and scaleup.
    Best Wishes…

But what happens if  you don’t receive any response?Make a statistic and observe how many questions remained without any response? It is really worth to make such survey ,ending up with some “reasonable”conclusions.kind regards.
