Do any of you out there know of a good book that describes MSA (Gauge R & R)? I have several books that have small chapters on the subject and it gives you overview type information. I need in-depth information.

    Much appreciated

Three references devoted to the topic are:
Evaluating the Measurement System by DJ Wheeler ISBN 0-945320-06-X
Measurement Systems Analysis – published by AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group
Concepts for R&R Studies by LB Barrentine ISBN 0-87389-108-2

The Bible on the subject is the booklet by AIAG. You will find that most stat packages, including STATGRAPHICS and Minitab, use their examples.

The MSA manual from the AIAG goes into as much detail on GR&R as any I’ve seen. (313) 358-3570. Not as detailed, but a good book with lots of QA/QC info is the Datamyte Handbook. Ask for a free copy from your local Datamyte dealer. You can get their phone number at 612-935-8874.
